Our current community improvement initiative is a community access set of 4 gates. All HCE II residents and land owners will have access to all areas of the community. The intent is to protect from the fire risks and dangers associated with trespassing, individuals ‘mudding’ on our roads and provide increased security. This was voted on in the July 2023 annual meeting and is dependent on our ability to raise sufficient funds. The board has agreed to take on ‘maintenance costs’ in our budget if members can independently fund the initial cost of the material and labor to install the 4 proposed gates. Lighting and security camera as well as remote access controls all require significant investment of about $20,000 per gate.
